Yogis hit the beach and stunning Ulluwatu

Our day trip to the beaches of southern Bali started out with an interesting bus ride. At first we passed so many different artisan workshops that it seemed that Bali must be the world supplier of statues, wood and glass sculptures, gazebos, doors and furniture. Then we skirted busy Denpasar and Kuta before reaching the southern tip of the island where the landscape becomes dry with sparse vegetation - the complete iopposite if lush Ubud.
Our first stop was Finns Beach Club at the Semara Resort, where we found an oasis of beauty behind the simple timber slat gate.
Walking past the stunning reception area and the cliff top infinity pool, we wound down a hundred steps to reach the inclinator that drops down a sheer descent to deposit you at the lower platform in a couple of minutes. Then it's another two hundred steps to reach the gorgeous Beach Club where we found one of the most pristine of Bali's beaches.
The cover charge gets you a towel, chair, umbrella and free water sports - Bliss.
After a few hours of surf and sun we we dragged ourselves up the hill and onto out sunset tapas at Ell Kabron Restaurant, all I can say is WOW - beautiful infinity pool and decor whith an amazing Ulluwatu sunset view - the pictures tell the story.
